WELCOME TO HIKE & BIKE
Hike and Bike offers quality hiking- and mountainbiking tours in the region of Myvatn. Lake Myvatn and the surrounding area is one of the most beautiful area of Iceland, known for the steaming lava and hotsprings, fissures and formations, flora and fauna and great hospitality. Travellers normally regret when they have to leave, wanting to stay a few more days.
Our tours vary in length and difficulty, suiting people of all levels. If you are in a hurry and don´t have the time to spend the day on a tour, the short intro tours are great to get to know the nature of the area. For all our tours we recommend sturdy shoes, warm clothes, hat and gloves as the weather in Iceland is quite unpredictable. One of our motto is: "It´s never a bad weather, just people that are not dressed properly"
Our mountainbikes are all GT, 24 gear high quality bikes. All participants in bike tours must wear a helmet and a safety vest. Our guides carry tools for maintenance and of course an emergency kit for first-aid.
Our scheduled hiking- and biking tours are offered June, July and August according to shedule. At other times small groups can ask for tailor made tours and excursions. During the winter time we tailor make tours on cross country skis or snowshoes in the Myvatn area.

We are located in the village of Reykjahlid by Lake Myvatn, at the corner of Mulavegur 1 and the Ring Road no.1. Only one km from the Tourist info and 0.5km from the swimming pool. Look for our sign !

Hike and Bike is an adventure and activity oriented company by Lake Myvatn. The company is owned by people that are outdoor enthusiasts, that really love and care for the nature. Our goal is to provide tours that are environmentally friendly, exciting, educational and full of “meaningful experiences”. Our guides are all Icelandic and well experienced. Your safety and your pleasure is our highest priority.
