HIKING-1 “Fissures and formations” 3-4 hrs. hiking tour – 10km
Grading: 
Come along on a journey through area of extreme contrasts, flora, birdlife and
geology. We hike through the typical green “woods” of Iceland to the fissure of
Grjótagjá. We will visit the old bathing caves on our way to the beautiful tephra crater Hverfjall. The route then takes us to the “dark castles” Dimmuborgir where we explore the formations and learn about the trolls around. Transfer back to Hike & Bike office.

HIKING-2 “Flow of the lava” 6-8 hrs. hiking tour – 20km
Grading:
Join us on a full day hiking experience through green valleys and black lava. We walk along the Dalfjall mountain ridge with an exceptional view over the region, to the steaming hills of Leirhnjukur. We visit the geothermal site and lava craters before our return along the lava river Eldá to the village of Reykjahlid. It is essential that you bring water and lunch with you as we are spending the day out in the back country.
